Had a grappling match (vid)

Postby Flying Eye Angle » Sun Jul 20, 2014 8:43 am

Grappled at a fight event the other night. Filler entertainment between fights. Fast forwarded through the first 2 minutes where nothing really happened. Then he tripped me with something that the camera missed, not sure what exactly. Wouldnt let me get too close to clinch or shoot, and he didnt want to take top position for free, so I had to force it to the ground

^ thats some crazy ups and downs man!

Do you go up and down emotionally thinking you will fight/not fight, getting psyched up/psyched down... or are you pretty cool under pressure and can swing it either way comfortably?

I remember travelling with Canuckster once to a fight he was gonna have, and midway driving we got a call that his opponent backed out. Then later they offered him a main event fight with someone in a completely different league/experience level. We stopped and conferred with his coach and decided not to take the bait... so he went from being focussed to fight - to not fighting at all - to maybe fighting someone really fucking good - to not fighting at all.

A lot of ups and downs in a few hours.

He handled it like a champ though - got his shit together for the next show and won by TKO while triangle choking the dude at the same time, lol

Canuckster is over 40 :)

LOL, sounds familiar Masato?
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
