Getting back on topic, I found this interesting;
It suggests that the debate between Marxism and its opposing political ideologies are more than just trivial or intellectual options, but a much deeper fundamental divide between whole world views that are in opposition at a much more powerful (almost metaphysical) level.
The vid maker suggests that if Marxism is allowed to play out to its full extent that it must eventually destroy all nation states and cultures, and the only way to stop it is to strengthen national/cultural/racial identities and the result must be a great clash as we saw in WWII
He suggests that we are heading in that direction all over again, where the globalist/Marxist agendas are getting so strong that there is a backlash of cultural nationalism and he predicts another war of these ideologies trying to snuff out the other all over again
I’m not sure if I agree with everything in the vid as presented, and certainly not locking into any side of the debate but I’m finding this whole discussion increasingly interesting.
Can Marxism really not be content to exist within limited borders? Must it spread over the whole globe? Was hitler justified to be so alarmed about it? Is such a radical opposition needed to counter it? Are there no other options for humanity?
Really interesting stuff. I bet many Marxists don’t see themselves as bad guys, nor maybe appreciate what will be lost if their ideas truly come to fruition. But maybe then again that’s not so bad... ?

The current leading socialist philosopher Zizek isn't too impressed with Peterson either.
I'm hoping he's going to go the route of Sam Harris, when Harris foolishly decided to debate Chomsky. But it seems like Peterson "They[Socialists/Marxists] don't debate me" is too afraid to debate a Marxist scholar and look foolish to all his acolytes.

I don't know. I think Peterson might surprise Chomsky with a great leap forward

Sadly we probably won't see Chomsky debate Peterson since he doesn't think much of him. Zizek and Peterson are trying to set up a debate for a second time, hoping Peterson doesn't run away. But I rather see Peterson debate a Marxist economist like Wolff. Doubt that will happen, he seems to go for the easy pickings on who he debates to seem wise to his acolytes.
m25105, did you watch this vid that Mega posted earlier?
Despite the ridiculous/misleading title, I thought you should see it because you see Peterson as an ANTI-Marxist (with good reason), whereas the video brings some conflicting info that he is more discreetly working precisely FOR a Marxist agenda, and a big one at that.
Would be curious for your take on it.

Masato, now that a couple weeks have passed and emotions have settled, give the video another watch and see what you can actually disagree with. IIRC the guy makes like 5 bullet-item type criticisms of JP, can you show that any of them are actually invalid?
