This is very concerning, the Maxwell trial does not seem to be going well despite her crimes being obvious
GOOD LAWGIC breaks down the ACTUAL SPECIFIC charges, and then examines those specific statutes under the law with the specific details from the trial. He compares how they line up, and how many of the charges have or have not been conclusively proven.
Unfortunately, the list of charges against Maxwell are very specific, there are not many... and according to Good Lawgic few have been properly met.
One weird one for example is because these are FEDERAL charges, it is absolutely crucial that the crimes involve "crossing state lines". If the crime does not cross state lines it cannot be Federal. So when you break down how Maxwell was committing crimes against minors here, and crimes against minors there, if none of them can be linked to actually crossing state lines, THEY GET THROWN OUT.
Another weird one is that one law/statute or whatever you call it will word it like if you are guilty of this crime you will be imprisoned for "..no less than 10 years."
HOWEVER another statute she is accused of states that if you are guilty of this crime you will be imprisoned for "...no more than 20 years."
So one of the crimes she is accused has a MINIMUM sentence, but the other a MAXIMUM sentence. So if she is convicted of that one, she could get anywhere LESS than 20 years. Could mean 1 or 2 for example.
Even more odd... the 'no more than 20 years' is a MUCH more horrible crime than the "no less than 10 years".
Good Lawgic admits this seems fucked up and wrong.
Another problem with the prosecution is that most of the best evidence points to EPSTEIN, and not always directly to Maxwell. The prosecution tries to show how close Maxwell was with Epstein, but much of the evidence is actually about Epstein and they just sort of suggest that Maxwell was part of it but they don't always provide direct evidence with her name on it etc
