Super stoked here... for the past 3 years, my wife and her business partner have been developing an art-classes business.
My wife is a potter and teaches all the pottery classes (kids, adults, school workshops, parties etc), and her partner is an AMAZING art teacher who does all the visual art classes. I work for them sometimes running a comic-making/drawing class:

ANYWAYS... for the past 3 years they have been working really hard to find a permanent location to finally put this business together once and for all. My wife has a studio in our basement which is very pretty but also very small. They were leasing space in an amazing old house for about 1.5 years, but that fell through as well. They taught summer art/pottery camps at a local private school for the summer, and also held some weeks at this awesome organic farm, which was very cool...
BUT NOW THEY HAVE A REAL PLACE!!!!
Long dull story of how it happened, but the paperwork is finally complete, and they have a mortgage on this commercial space in the exact location they wanted.
Now they are scrambling to get it ready asap, as mortgage payments/utility bills start next month.
I will post pics of the development as it starts to come together.
Here is the front on the building... they have the main level, top level, and a basement:
The main level will be my wife's pottery studio:
There are stairs leading up, and down (basement is unfinished... lights are not working right now so no pictures. The plan is to turn it into a computer lab!
The 2nd floor will be run by my wife's business partner, and will be all visual arts (drawing, painting, textiles, etc etc):

Another part of the goal is to use the space to rent out for special creative events... other types of classes, guest lectures/presentations, etc. Just a main center for creative activity in the community - all kinds of potential
I hope to have some conspiracy workshops one day :)
WISH HER LUCK!!!
I will post more pics as it develops
