are you more of a TEA or COFFEE drinker when it comes to the morning or afternoon-treat beverage?
I'm more of a Coffee Fellow myself. Not that I dislike tea but when enjoying that morning/afternoon cookie or pastry I prefer the company of coffee.
cold tea is fine for quenching the thirst as refreshment or served with a savory meal.
TEA or COFFEE?
I don't really like either. Tea sometimes, coffee never.
I remember I went to see a Chinese Medicine expert once, lots of degrees in oldschool chinese medicine etc,
The very first question he asked me was if I prefer cold drinks, or hot drinks?
I always though that was interesting. I am definitely a cold drink person

When we were kids we used to try to get high off making extra extra strong iced tea with tons of sugar lol. 100 proof iced tea we used to call it. It wasn;t ready until light could no longer pass through it
I have a cup of tea with breakfast, then a coffee with a cigarette.

I have two cups of coffee in the morning. Probably more of a habit than something I like particularly.

Coffee these days...but I felt at my best when I completely gave up caffeine for 5 years.
^no doubt eating/drinking CLEAN would be better for the system but pleasure is also an important element of my life experience and so I make some concessions when it comes to the health/pleasure balance....I know I'm not going to live forever and wish to enjoy a bit of the good life of food and drink while practicing some reasonable moderation

This is an insightful post
I also think about and struggle with this balance in my own ways. I try not to overthink it but definitely feel the pull in both directions, it can be disorienting

Definitely coffee. Tea just doesn't seem to have any personality.

Yes, balance is important! I would agree that moderation is KEY to that balance. Without balance, "sound diets" can readily become an eating disorder.
