Maybe they need a bit of a REVERSE TIME OUT to learn that when they show a lack of gratitude and appreciation for the posters like Kirik_Jr or those who contribute an opposing social perspective By FREEZING/BANNING them, then that forum will lose its magic and become a BORE and won't be long then till they are CRYING for creatives to inspire some discussion

I think more like an APOLOGY is in order! But instead of apologizing for their ABUSE of POWER they tell everyone I am "unfrozen" now yet I was supposed to be frozen until 6-12.....seems like SOMEBODY made a MISTAKE and isn't willing to HUMBLY admit their having WRONGED me and is STILL accusing me of trolling when all I ever do is make good charitable contributions to the collective sharing of information to advance society's evolution

seems like more an issue of POWER TRIPPER syndrome and UNPROFESSIONAL ability to practice Impartial Moderating than a case of my "trolling" with threads like "The Final Countdown" or "Should YOGApants be considered INDECENT EXPOSURE?"

I didn't wish to be rude yet that's the impression I got. It's no fun when there's not some good banter and diverse perspective and the OG is in danger of becoming a geriatric home for FAUX CONservative CURmudgeons as is observed in their anger with with me instead of the humble recognition that maybe the "man in the mirror" is a tad guilty of having lost his "cool" and has evolved into become that angry old wingNUT which does make for entertaining sport when the Senior Center isn't being managed by the CURmudgeions

as for that "FINAL COUNTDOWN" thread, it was a humble inspirational attempt to INSPIRE REAL aspiring REAL CONSERVATIVES by using my own REAL CONSERVATIVE example of how a simple living fellow can live on less and FREE himself of his CONsumerSLAVE situation in announcing how the 2 Bedroom LUXURY townHOME will be PAID-IN-FULL 2025 which was accomplished through my REAL CONSERVATIVE methods of SIMPLE LIVING inspired by great minds such as Henry David Thoreau

Mods develop a mental/psychological sickness imo the more they exercise/abuse their mod powers imo. I've seen it many times before, lol they all lose their minds trying to manage their perceived roles. It is futility

Part of the reason this forum exists is because I got banned for much of the same bullshit at Sherdog. I was making THIS comic for the Sherdog fans, for free:

But for some reason the mods went crazy and started pulling them all down. When I questioned it they banned me just before I could release the final episodes. All that work + growing an audience for it and they went all mod crazy and banned me/deleted the comic just before the grand finale lol. I was crushed lol
It caused a big uproar and an army of MMA photoshoppers all came over here but I stopped photoshopping soon after that and didn't put any work into this place so it mellowed with time.

I do still like to think of it as a safe haven for BANNED folk. That was kind of the point back in the day

I once created an account for sherdog but never spent any real time there. Were there many people who posted from the OG also posting on Sherdog?

it was easier for me to begin posting at EvilYoshida and this forum because it's a smaller community feeling so easier to get to know the other posters and get started. Maybe you are right about your MOD observations. People attracted to positions of authority often have some kind of complex I would imagine

In my experience the online MMA community was pretty much split into OG vs Sherdog. Coke and Pepsi lol

I didn't see too many that crossed over.

This is what made EY funny for me because everyone in there knew each other and were referencing posters and threads I knew nothing about lol

I never visit Sherdog anymore at all. I remember the mods all lost their minds trying to keep the politically correct narrative steady, and the forum became all sterilized. Maybe it's better now, I don't know. I'm retired from forums, except for this place lol

There was a peak era for internet forums, it was quite special. Strangely, the best ones somehow were the MMA forums (OG, Sherdog), and not just for MMA content - I found maybe the best political dialogue and research was to be found in those weird little corners. I don't really understand why, or what the connection was but for a short time all those forums were grand.
