Eradication of Illness, Longevity, OverPopulation....
Eradication of Illness, Longevity, OverPopulation....
Eradication of Illness, Increasing Longevity, OverPopulation.....How is Humanity going to MATH that?
There's no scarcity
A longevity researcher, 53, who claims he's cut his 'biological age' by 10 years shares his morning routine
Anti-aging researcher David Sinclair claims he's reversed his 'biological age' by 10 years.
He shared his morning routine, which includes oil pulling, "nontoxic" toothpaste, and supplements.
Large-scale research into some of these habits is lacking.
David Sinclair, a Harvard biologist and anti-aging researcher, claims that although he was born nearly 54 years ago, his "biological age" is 10 years younger.
Sinclair puts this down to a series of lifestyle changes, including following a plant-based diet, forgoing alcohol, and following a strict morning routine involving "nontoxic" toothpaste, coconut oil pulling, and intermittent fasting.------

When I was 29 my biological age was 44. I'm now 40.
reading that Silicone Nerd's routine made me think about QUALITY vs QUANTITY when it comes to the number of years one lives and how they enjoyed them

Great thought.
We all die eventually. Sometimes I wonder if health fanatics are actually trying to avoid this lol, or how much enjoyable things they deny themselves because they are trying so hard to escape it in futility
As with all things, a balance is good
As for overpopulation, I do not think this is a problem. The world is HUGE, with unfathomable square miles of untouched land left to inhabit with plenty to spare.
^I see your point about the size of the world but I also wonder how much habitable land is necessary to maintain untouched to keep harmonious balance? Example, what impact to humanity will there be if the habitable land of the Amazon continues to be changed by human hands? Just one more acre keeps adding up.....
if the "food-chain" ecosystem is changed too much by the human hand of development then maybe it will result in some negative impact?
hmmm, I don't have the answers but noticed and odd mathematical quirk in this formula of concern for overpopulation on one hand and the eradication of illness and increase longevity on the other. Perhaps the answer lies in the next phase of human pioneering and migration when we set sail for distant planets

....it is also very refreshing here how members can entertain different perspectives while practicing a policy of respect for FREE SPEECH
The earth is flat. Not going to Mars any time soon.
the MATH just doesn't seem to add up in this observation of Social Management. Are the "Powers that Be" trying to increase population and longevity or are they concerned about the effects of over-population on the environment?
of course I wouldn't fault anyone for wishing for themselves or their loved-ones the medical breakthroughs which yield the treatment needed to cure some debilitating condition or life-threatening disease
I am also seeming to observe that having large litters in modern society is not very practical due to:
