So for anyone who doesnt know many bird species specialize is forcing other birds to raise their children, either mafia style or by deception. Its created an evolutionary arms race between the hard working birds and the parasites. These is a great doc I found on it:

We have a robin's nest in our front porch. 3 eggs were gone the other day. Is this what is happening? Is the mom getting others to raise her kids?
Or were they just stolen

Sorry just saw this now. The same thing happened when robbins built a nest on our porch. This isnt what happened though, or there would be a giant fat cuckoo in their place. Baby birds are the chicken nuggets of the animal kingdom, and if the nest is on a porch the culprit was almost certainly a crow, though an owl is also possible.
