since the rise of the YouTube peasant celeb, I'm noticing the Hollywood Elites have a bit of competition and are having to resort to appearing on YouTube podcasts and making more commercials which I think there used to kind of Elitist attitude of being "beneath" them

Easy: a a mobile telephone. Perry Mason had a telephone in his car. It was a radiotelephone. People who could afford it had in the cars and marine vessels. They were mobile but only to the point the phone had to stay with the vehicle since it was basically a radio. Cellular service came later. Hedy Lamarr, the actress, held the patent to cellular service. Mobile cellular units and their batteries were initially heavy and cumbersome. Even when they progressed to being more mobile, they were still bricks.

And now today almost everyone has a unit that can be stored in their pocket or purse???!!!
