Hope none of you fucks rip on her, because I am a huge and genuine fan.
Some of my most beloved songs in the whole world are hers.
I usually don't give 2 fucks when celebrities die but this one actually made me sad.
She was crazy but had lots of good reasons (abused by the Church as a child, was maybe the first rockstar to be 'cancelled' over political statements, 2 of her sons committed suicide, etc)
I will post more, she was a treasure imo
RIP Sinead O'Connor
Since my 20's most of my favourite music has always been punk music. I had mix tapes with all the best punk tunes and loved that shit with my soul.
What's weird is even though Sinead's music was mostly slow and girly, to me she was maybe the hardest punk of them all. Her music was slower but it fuckin rocked, it had a snarl to it that came from somewhere deep.
Later when she had a baby she went all motherly and made an album about that kind of stuff. It was beautiful.
Her reggae album she recorded in Jamaica was amazing, full of life, and of course all her Traditional Irish tunes are gold.
There was only one album I couldn't get into, she got all weird and dark I guess and I couldn't jive.

OK I'm going out on a limb here -
I was just browsing photos of her, and I'm physically tingling from almost all of them.
her music did the same to me, it would actually uplift my spirit and give me power. Her voice would consistently give goosebumps and raise my consciousness. Hundreds of photos of her are simply stunning - not in a lustful sexual way but in a shine like the fucking sun way.
She attacked the POPE on live tv.
She moved millions.
Yet was tormented and did not fit in this world
Honestly, if you ask me, I think she was some kind of angel or spirit, some incarnation above average humans. There was something powerful in her, like she really was some sort of witch or something.
Maybe its just the weed lol, maybe I'm going too far. But this feeling about her has lasted for 25 years now and I still get the buzz
RIP
I almost don't dare post photos, there are too many to choose from. That one ^^ is tame, I just picked it because she's there being way more punk than that dork lol

Good Words Masato and may she now be singing Good Songs with the Angels in Heaven!
This is one of my favourite songs in the world.
A classic Irish song about coming to the end of one's life, which Sinead IMHO sang more beautifully than anyone likely ever did.
You can play it at my wake if y'all like, if it still be true
Oh, all the money e'er I had, I spent it in good company
And all the harm that ever I've done, alas it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit to mem'ry now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass, good night and joy be to you all
Oh, if I had only enough to spend, and leisure time to sit awhile
There is a fair maid in this town, that sorely has my heart beguiled
Her rosy cheeks and ruby lips, I own, she has my heart in thrall
So fill to me the parting glass, good night and joy be to you all
Of all the comrades e'er I had, they're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts e'er I had, they would wished me one more day to stay
But since it falls into my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I gently rise and softly call, goodnight and joy be to you all
Goodnight and joy be to you all
