Squats tonight
Literally hit half what I could hit rep wise same weight as last week
Stressful day at work and the aforementioned "diet" today cant have helped
Need to learn how to compartmentalize my days/life
I think a deload week at 50 percent reps AND weight is in order, things going downhill in the gym and discpline wise
More honest introspection needed. Time to start smoking weed again

Honestly a coffee or a banana is more than enough for me but it was free

Do you know if you're a fast or slow metabolizer of caffeine?

I metabolize caffeine slowly and would take that 6 hours before sleep the latest.

I really dont know mate I only ever drink it in the morning so not sure. Sleep is more important to me than a few extra reps so ill err on the side of caution and only drink it when I lift in the AM.

Had a scoop and a half this morning being Saturday here and just felt like a cleaner coffee high, less jittery and not exactly game changing but then again I slept well and woke up of my own accord not cause of an alarm for work so probably didnt need it anyway plus I trained shoulders which I dont go heavy on anyway.

Tomorrow is deadlift/back day before my 3 day weekly break, we shall see then cause I go balls to the wall on back day.

I have 1 cup of coffee in the morning. Lifting much more now than in February. Haven't hit a proper wall yet.

Switch up exercises. E.g. If I was currently doing barbells and made some progress, go over to dumbbells and beat the old best numbers and then some. Then when dumbbells stall, go back to barbells. Another is change rep ranges. Hit new best numbers in 10s, then 8s, then say 5s, then triples, then maybe singles depends on what rep ranges you train. The training of each segment adds just a little gains and help make PRs in forthcoming segments, which in itself is novel stimuli which leads to a little gains which add to the next segment and so on.
