NEW BLACK BELT in tha house!!

Postby Masato » Sun Mar 30, 2025 6:00 pm

Our man Diet Butcher just got his Black Belt in BJJ

He is too humble to have made a thread for it but it deserves a thread. This is a major accomplishment.
Folks who don't train BJJ have NO IDEA. It's not like other martial arts clubs where retards can get their belts in a few years just for paying membership fees long enough lol

Canuckster doesn't post much here these days but he is also a Black Belt.

Any others??

High Black-Belt to Member Ratio at this tiny forum imo, IMO :D

He will now be addressed as PROFESSOR Diet Butcher. 8-)
Thank you

Thanks brother. Been into martial arts my whole life and this is the first black belt I ever got... because well, BJJ is the only MA I took that has a belt system, so maybe that's why, LOL Took only 27 years. Well, there were two 7 year hiatuses in between, so about 11 or 12 years in total of consistent training. I still feel I suck more than I did last year though. The only things I feel is black belt about me is my neck and shoulders being in constant pain. Now the pressure is on me to not get destroyed by lower belts :D

Congrats fellow professor, its a long road,

Unless you're a competitive practitioner or an mma fighter, getting your black in your youth is very difficult, hobbyists rarely attain black, so by the time an average guy like myself gets one, you're usually quite a bit older, and as such the younger more athletic guys will always be putting it on you, I think you just need to accept that as you get older, regardless of rank, there will always be younger guys who will beat you out of sheer athleticism.

Congrats again bro, it is a truly worthy and uncommon accomplishment

Whoa, huge congrats to Professor Diet Butcher! That’s a serious milestone—years of grind, sweat, and probably a few popped joints along the way Totally agree, BJJ black belts aren’t handed out like candy. Major respect.
High black belt ratio here indeed… this little forum's got some hidden killers!
